This creamy BBQ sauce with Greek yogurt is quick, smooth, and great with fries, grilled chicken, and more. Ready in 5 minutes with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons 45g plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons 30g mayonnaise
  • teaspoon red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 pinches black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add the Greek yogurt to a mixing bowl and stir until smooth.
  • Add mayonnaise and mix to combine.
  • Add red chili powder, lemon juice, black pepper, and salt. Whisk everything together until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy.
  • Let the sauce rest for 5 to 10 minutes so the flavors can blend. This is an optional step.
  • Stir once more, taste, adjust salt or lemon as needed, and serve.

Notes

  • Do not skip the rest time. It makes the sauce taste more balanced.
  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for the thickest, creamiest result.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Do not freeze. Mayo-based sauces do not freeze well.
  • Add more chili powder if you like a spicier sauce.
